🚨 ICE Poker Flex Launch

ICE Poker Flex and Tournament Mode have officially launched!

We really appreciate every community member that participated in our 6 beta tests and provided us with valuable feedback. As a thank you, we returned all the Shine used in the beta tests back to your wearables.

To kick off the launch, Decentral Games partnered with 6 communities and will be hosting a Tournament Mode competition. More info about our partnerships and competition can be found further down in this newsletter.

ICE Poker Flex

ICE Poker Flex is our new progressive web app (PWA) that allows you to play ICE Poker on any browser, including your mobile device.

Tournament Mode

Tournament Mode is our new Sit-n-Go tournament game mode.

Test your skills in a fast-paced, 6-player, single-elimination tournament where you can compete to win badges that can be redeemed for large prizes such as ICE wearables, $ICE tokens, and Shine.

Playing Tournament mode is like going bowling, you got to have the right shoes. To play, you’ll need an ICE Poker wearable with Shine.

Tournament Wearables on the Decentral Games Marketplace

You can now buy ICE Poker Tournament wearables for 1000 $ICE on the DG Marketplace. These come loaded with 9 Shine and are a low-cost entry point to start playing.

🤝 Tournament Mode Partnerships

With our launch, we’re thrilled to announce 6 partnerships:

Mutant Cartel

SX Bet

These partnerships welcome new players into the ICE Poker ecosystem while providing new utility to their community.

The Milk Road’s Custom Milkman Tournament Wearable

For each partner, we designed custom ICE Poker Tournament wearables that come loaded with 9 Shine so community members can immediately start playing.

Wearables have already been airdropped to the KILLABEARS, Milk Road, and WonderZone communities. We’ll be airdropping wearables to the Quirkies, Mutant Cartel, and SX Bet communities on Monday, September 19.

We’re excited to bring on our first 6 partners — and we’ve got plenty more on the way.

The mechanics of Tournament Mode and Shine allow us to partner with other communities to release fun, custom Tournament wearables without the risk of immediately skewing our in-game economy.

Decentral Games is looking forward to partnering with more communities, providing utility to their community members with custom wearables, and onboarding more users into the Metaverse.

🏆 Tournament Mode Competition

Following the passed governance proposal, we’re hosting a Tournament Mode competition with $xDG prizes until Tuesday, October 11.

Here are the various prizes up for grabs:

1. The first 50 players to claim a Pharaoh All Access wearable receives $200 in $xDG.

2. The top 20 players with the highest win percentages and over 100 tournaments played receive:

1st: $1,000 in $xDG
2nd: $950 in $xDG
3rd: $900 in $xDG
4th: $850 in $xDG
5th: $800 in $xDG
6th: $750 in $xDG
7th: $700 in $xDG
8th: $650 in $xDG
9th: $600 in $xDG
10th: $550 in $xDG
11-20th: $500 in $xDG

3. The top 3 players who’ve earned the most badges receive:

1st: $3,000 in $xDG
2nd: $2,000 in $xDG
3rd: $1,000 in $xDG

Prizes for #2 and #3 will be distributed at the end of the competition period on October 11.

593 tournaments played
889,500 $ICE burned, if all Shine used was purchased with $ICE

(For scale, that’s already burning more than 30% of the $ICE emissions from Challenge Mode!)

🕺 ICE Emotes

Last Thursday, we released custom ICE Poker emotes — we love seeing the community already having fun with these.

ICE Poker Emotes are now available on the @decentraland marketplace.

Don’t have one yet? You’re missing out. Check out the Decentraland Marketplace where you can buy one with $MANA.

In the future, they’ll be added to the DG Marketplace where you’ll be able to buy with $ICE.

🐦 Glow Labs Update

Unfortunately, Glow Lab ran into issues from the significant amount of traffic received, and a handful of users were able to claim multiple times — we quickly caught this and paused rewards. All Twitter accounts, funds, and wallets are safe.

We’ll be turning off Twitter rewards at this time. However, you can still claim any rewards you’ve previously earned through Glow Lab’s claim page.

Please set your wallet to the Polygon network before claiming.

We’re sorry about this incident, and thank you for your understanding as we try out new products.

💻 Development Focus

This week, the team is continuing work on:

Metaverse Tournament Mode

We're patching the remaining bugs for the Metaverse gameplay to prepare for a community alpha test.

ICE Poker Flex

We’ll be monitoring ICE Poker Flex and pushing updates to fix gameplay bugs.

Delegation V2

We’re continuing development for the Banked ICE Redemption Marketplace and aiming to launch late-September to early-October.

💰 Financial

Treasury

The DG Treasury now holds $19.48M.

Revenue

Decentral Games generated $43,128.47 in revenue last week.

ICE Burn

Last Monday, we bought and burned 970K $ICE from protocol revenue:

Polygon validator node rewards — 3,500 $MATIC
Secondary sale royalties — 2.64 $WETH

An additional 449.5K $ICE was burned by players buying Shine to play in the Tournament Mode beta tests.

MANA Staking Rewards

MANA rewards for staking ICE are currently yielding 237% APR.

The ICE Pharoah wearable is an All Acess wearable that’s only claimable by winning 115 badges in Tournament Mode.

ICE Scepter

Congrats to @Meryshark for claiming an ICE Scepter this week. Welcome to the High Roller Club 👋

What’s the ICE Scepter?
The ICE Scepter is a High Roller ICE accessory. It’s a cosmetic item that gives exlcusive perks such as: VIP discord channels, $xDG community bounties, and access to the second floor of Diamond Hand City.
There are only 500 ICE Scepters, and nearly half have been claimed.
To claim a Scepter:
Collect a full set of rank 5 wearables from a single collection.
Hold 5,000 $xDG.
After meeting the requirements, please submit a support ticket in our Discord so our staff can verify and send you your High Roller ICE accessory.
