🔨 ICE Poker Gameplay Improvements
Last week, we pushed several updates to improve the ICE Poker gameplay following feedback from the community.
Here are a few of those updates:
New ICE Location - Chateau Satoshi
To support the influx of new users, we have converted Chateau Satoshi into an ICE Poker scene.
You can now play ICE poker at 3 different locations - DEXT lounge, The Stronghold, and Chateau Satoshi. Our concurrent player count in ICE Poker is currently 700-800, with 4,500 ICE Poker NFTs in circulation. Our theoretical max concurrent count, given available table seating, is 1,080 players. With the introduction of ICE Poker - Chateau Satoshi, we will be able to expand concurrent player support, accommodating over 2,000 concurrent players.
Speed Of Gameplay
The ICE Poker dealers will now distribute cards 2x faster and the idle time in between hands has been cut in half. These are small changes, but in aggregate they will make a material difference in the pacing of games and, by extension, how many hands you will be able to play per hour.
Hard Challenge Logic Update
Full houses will now count towards the Three-of-a-Kind challenge and Straights will count towards the Straight challenge, even if you also have a Flush.
Gameplay Sounds
We have now added a sonic indicator to the game that lets each players know when it becomes their turn. We’ve additionally added a countdown indicator sound that plays during the final seconds of each player’s turn to provide a warning that time is running out.
DEXT Perimeter
The tables at the DEXT Lounge can get overcrowded with users (many of which are non-ICE Poker players). We have now built a perimeter around the tables that requires players to either own an ICE wearable or have an ICE wearable delegated for them to be able to enter the table area. All other users can watch from a distance but cannot actually enter the poker table area.
Multi Tabbing Prevention
We no longer allow players to play ICE poker with the same address across different tabs/realms at the same time. This was causing many issues, including negative balance exploits.
Increased Blinds and Buy In
We increased the blinds to 25/50, and minimum buy in to 800. As a part of this change, we have also fixed an issue where users were unable to buy in below the minimum. This means, if you have less than 800 chips, you will be able to still buy in with the rest of your remaining chips (no matter how small the stack is).
Update: The increased blinds and buy in will be reverted back to 10/20 following feedback from the community.
💻 Development Focus
This week, the DG team is working on:
ICE Poker Delegation Dashboard V1
The ICE Poker delegation dashboard will enable any NFT owner to easily track the performance of the players playing with their ICE Poker NFTs.
By clicking on any delegate, you will be able to view their historical performance:
Improved Claim ICE Rewards Featuring Historical Breakdown
The improved Claim ICE Rewards tab will soon provide a weekly breakdown of your ICE Rewards to better track performance of you and all your delegated players.
Improved DG Governance/Staking Dashboard
The new DG Governance dashboard will feature a much more comprehensive breakdown of your DG and staked DG (xDG) balances, governance APR, and ability to stake DG seamlessly on Ethereum or Polygon.
New Player/Delegator Splits
We will add new splits to higher ranked ICE Poker NFTs to provide a greater incentive for ICE Poker NFT owners to upgrade while players still receive slightly more ICE on average for playing with higher ranked NFTs:
Rank 1 Split - 70% Player / 30% NFT Owner
Rank 2 Split - 66% Player / 34% NFT Owner
Rank 3 Split - 62% Player / 38% NFT Owner
Rank 4 Split - 58% Player / 42% NFT Owner
Rank 5 Split - 54% Player / 46% NFT Owner
Preparation for ICE Poker NFT Drop #6
We’ve updated the minting flow, so for the next mint you will be able to authorize the token prior to the minting going live. This week, we will announce more details for the 6th ICE Poker NFT Mint!
💰 DG Treasury Snapshot
The DG treasury now holds $49.37M USD.
ICE Poker NFT Royalties from OpenSea
Last week, the ICE Poker OpenSea collection accumulated 235.39 ETH in secondary market trading volume, generating 11.53 ETH ($36,435 USD) in royalties for the DG treasury.

🏛 Active Governance Proposals
There is currently one active proposal in the Decentral Games Snapshot:
Use of Mint Proceeds for Next 2 Drops
This proposal would allow the DG team to use the proceeds in ETH from the next ICE Poker mint to (1) add to DG and ICE LPs, (2) buy back DG, (3) or convert to stable coins to establish reserves.
Rationale
Nearly all set here, but we're a little short of $5M ETH-DG LP target now that ETH has declined, and we'd also like to have ~$1M more LP for Matic DG for more depth on Polygon (Note: $1M in LP requires $0.5M ETH --> Matic since the other side of the pair is DG).
Based on the expectation that we will generate > $5M in revenue this month (that's > $60M annualized, even assuming no growth) and $DG has a circulating market cap of ~$110M, we believe the token is significantly undervalued. Buying back some of the token today for future use (e.g. distributions to xDG holders) is a good use of funds at this time.
Most of the assets in the DAO (e.g. Matic, LAND) are highly-correlated with ETH and the broader crypto market, so it makes sense to start establishing a hedge.
